I have extensive training and clinical experience in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and interpersonal therapy. In our therapeutic journey together, I will draw on the latest research and evidence-based practices to ensure that our work is grounded in effectiveness and supported by scientific findings. I believe in the power of integrating well-established therapeutic approaches that have been proven to bring about positive change.

My Credentials:
I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Trauma Studies in 2009 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I completed my internship and postdoctoral training at Emory University/Grady Memorial Hospital from 2008-2010. I became a licensed clinical psychologist in Georgia in 2010 (#PSY003370). I earned my board certification in clinical psychology in 2011.
I started my career in 2010 at the Atlanta VA Health Care System (AVAHCS). During the 13 years that I worked for the AVAHCS, I had the privilege of providing clinical services for Veterans and held several leadership positions within this large healthcare facility. I also had the opportunity to be trained in and provided a number of gold-standard treatments including first-line treatments for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Insomnia, and many others.
I am also actively involved in several psychological organizations, including Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) and American Psychological Association (APA). I have had the privilege of serving in various leadership roles within these associations, including as the current Treasurer for GPA and the Chair for the Committee of Women in Psychology in APA.
Lastly, I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. In this role, I have supervised psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows as well as psychiatric residents. It is a true honor to help train and support the new generation of mental health clinicians.
